Residential Proxies for Localization Testing
Country-targeted residential routes help QA teams inspect the public experience delivered to visitors in supported markets. They are useful for verifying regional redirects and content, but location is only one input to localization behavior.

When residential proxies can help
Use a residential route when the consumer-network or country perspective is a real requirement. If location and IP origin do not affect the result, a simpler direct connection or datacenter proxy may be faster and less expensive.
- Checking regional redirects on a site you operate or are authorized to test
- Reviewing localized public copy, currency, and catalog selection
- Validating country-specific consent or informational banners
- Reproducing a permitted issue reported from another market

Validated countries
The dashboard offers supported country values and avoids error-prone city or state strings.
Sticky test journeys
A reusable session can keep the route consistent while a tester moves through related public pages.
Browser integration
HTTP(S) credentials work with tools such as Playwright when configured in server-side test code.
Bandwidth planning
Visual QA normally loads full pages, so include scripts, styles, images, and fonts in the sample. Cache state also changes the amount transferred between first and repeat views.
Count each browser, viewport, locale, country, and test repetition. Use the calculator after measuring a representative journey from a fresh browser context.

Suggested setup
- Write an expected result for each country before testing.
- Generate a country-targeted sticky proxy for each independent test journey.
- Set browser language, timezone, cookies, and account state explicitly where the test requires them.
- Capture the exit-country result and application evidence without exposing proxy credentials.
The setup documentation explains credential formats, protocol ports, targeting, sessions, examples, and connection troubleshooting.
